Lamberville, New Jersey, Building Code

Lambertville, New Jersey, is a very popular turn-of-the-century community for residents, shoppers, and those who want to tour by foot and bicycle. The community was experiencing infill development and roadway design that was not consistent with the scale and pedestrian nature of the community. The people of Lambertville noticed the change and did not think it was for the better. Their response was to commission a consultant to review their existing codes and provide recommendations on development standards that would promote compatibility between new and existing development while maintaining the pedestrian atmosphere within the City of Lambertville. The new building code sets standards for front entrances, building setbacks, driveways for residential and non-residential buildings, motor vehicle parking, and more.
